The Bridgeport: A Farmhouse Design That Grows With You
The Bridgeport is for families who want a home that can shift with them over time. On paper, it is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with an optional 1 bedroom suite. In real life, it is the house that covers a lot of bases: everyday family life, work from home, and the option of rental or multigenerational living.
The main floor keeps things straightforward. The kitchen, dining, and great room all sit together at the back of the house, with the deck just a few steps away for weeknight grilling. A small office tucks in off the kitchen, close enough to stay connected, but easy to close off when you need to focus. If you are more excited about storage than desk space, this room easily converts to a generous walk in pantry.
Upstairs is where the family side of the plan settles in. The primary bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, its own sitting room, ensuite, and walk in closets on either side. Two more bedrooms share a full bath, and the small loft at the top of the stairs works as a homework station, gaming corner, or reading spot, depending on the season of life.
Downstairs, the one bedroom suite has its own kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry, making it well suited for aging parents, older kids, or a bit of rental income. A separate flex room and computer nook give you space to keep for yourself, whether that becomes a home gym, hobby room, or extra TV room.
